Deborah Olague

Deborah Olague specializes in the Japanese metalworking technique mokume-gane, producing wedding bands from scratch, since 2003.  She custom makes mokume bands in a variety of patterns and metals, using combinations of palladium white gold, red gold, yellow gold, palladium and palladium enhanced sterling silver.

Mokume-gane is a Japanese metalworking procedure which was first used to decorate swords, but today is most often seen in wedding bands.  Mokume is made by fusing several layers of different colored precious metals to form a sandwich of alloys called a billet, which is then manipulated to create a wood grain pattern.

Fabulous gifts for weddings, engagements, graduations orther special occasions the works of Deborah Olague are a standout addition to the variety of artistic works at Kennedy Gallery!
